OUR SUPPORT APPROACH

Behaviour Support Epping, Craigieburn, Broadmeadows ,Thomastown, Reservoir, Melton, Sunshine

Neurodivergent- Affirming Assessment

Neurodivergent- Affirming Assessment

Neurodivergent- Affirming Assessment

We recognise and respect the diverse ways individuals navigate the world, acknowledging and honouring differences in sensory processing, social communication, and emotional regulation across neurotypes.

Empowerment Through Education

Neurodivergent- Affirming Assessment

Neurodivergent- Affirming Assessment

Clients are empowered through education. Depending on age and capacity, individuals can learn more about their neurodivergence through resources created by neurodivergent voices. Building this understanding supports the development of self‑awareness and self‑advocacy skills.

Validation and Affirmation

Neurodivergent- Affirming Assessment

Sensory-Sensitive Approaches

We prioritise validating and affirming individuals’ experiences, perspectives, and coping mechanisms. This includes reframing behaviours within the context of the individual’s unique nervous system functioning.

Sensory-Sensitive Approaches

Social Connection and Community Support

Sensory-Sensitive Approaches

Techniques and interventions are tailored to accommodate sensory sensitivities and preferences. This might involve co‑producing sensory‑friendly environments, building interoception, and incorporating sensory regulation strategies into daily routines. It can also incorporate Polyvagal theory to support regulation of the nervous system.

Social Connection and Community Support

Social Connection and Community Support

Social Connection and Community Support

Recognising the importance of social connection for nervous system regulation, we facilitate opportunities for individuals to connect with supportive peers and communities. This may involve group activities, peer mentorship programs, and online support networks where individuals can share experiences and strategies. We all need to find our tribe.

Strengths-Based Approach

Social Connection and Community Support

Social Connection and Community Support

Supporting a strengths‑based approach for our clients involves recognising and harnessing their unique strengths and abilities, fostering self‑confidence and empowerment. By focusing on strengths rather than deficits, we can cultivate a more inclusive and effective approach that enhances overall wellbeing.

Advocacy and Systemic Change

Advocacy and Systemic Change

Advocacy and Systemic Change

We advocate for systemic changes to promote neurodivergent‑affirming environments in schools, workplaces, and communities. This involves providing training and consultation to organisations, advocating for policy changes, and promoting inclusive practices.

Parent Coaching

Advocacy and Systemic Change

Advocacy and Systemic Change

Parenting a neurodivergent or disabled child can be exhausting, and we get it. Gentle parent coaching to reduce conflict, build connection, strengthen communication, and support relationships is fundamental to our work. We focus on helping to reduce carer burnout and guiding families from simply surviving to genuinely thriving.
